Refried Beans

Delicious beans


  • 1 cup Pinto Beans
  • 2 Bacon slices, diced OR 1 tablespoon lard
  • 1/2 Onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Green chili, diced
  • 1 tspn Garlic
  • 1 tspn Parika
  • dash Lime Juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cover beans with water and cook in a dutch oven for 1-1/2 hours. Drain beans saving liquid. Saute onion, chilis, and bacon. Add garlic, paprika and chili powder. Mash beans into sauteed mixture adding liquid until smooth.
