Refried Beans
Delicious beans
- 1 cup Pinto Beans
- 2 Bacon slices, diced OR 1 tablespoon lard
- 1/2 Onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons Green chili, diced
- 1 tspn Garlic
- 1 tspn Parika
- dash Lime Juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cover beans with water and cook in a dutch oven for 1-1/2 hours. Drain beans saving liquid. Saute onion, chilis, and bacon. Add garlic, paprika and chili powder. Mash beans into sauteed mixture adding liquid until smooth.
