Recipe: Shepherd's Pie
Potatoes
- 2 cups Instant or Home Made Mashed Potatoes
- 2 tbspn Butter
- 2 tbspn Heavy Cream
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
Whip butter and heavy cream into potatoes. Adjust vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper to taste.
Skillet
- 1 can Corned Beef & Hash or 1/2 lb. Browned Mincemeat
- 1 small Potatoe, Diced
- 1 Onion, Diced
- 1 Carrot, Diced
- 1 Cup Diced Cabbage, Can of Peas or Green Beans
- Dash Worcestershire Sauce
- Thyme
- Garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
Layer the meat on the bottom of a 9" cast iron skillet. Then add diced onion, carrots, cabbage/peas/beans. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce and blanket with thyme, garlic, salt and pepper. Prepare the potatoes above and layer over top. Cook for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Broil for 2-4 minute for a crispy upper potato layer.
