Dreams of home

A game that I like to play is to imagine where I would want to live and what that would be like: urban? abroad? dirt-bagging on the road? cabins across the country?

Some options include mixing the Alpine cabin with an urban studio (undesirable since the start of the pandemic). That studio could be anywhere: Europe (Spain, Portugal, Germany, Poland, Ireland, UK), Latin America (Yucatan, Mexico City, Argentina), Asia (Japan) or the United States (Tucson, ABQ, Seattle, NC).

Alternative option: abroad in AirBnBs and short-term rentals as a digital nomad in urban or rural international environments. (Limited by pandemic). Or move abroad altogether.

Alternative options: dirt-bagging. Get an Airstream or camper and live throughout the western U.S. (Downsides: tied to the United States with no assets if there is civil unrest; environmentally unsustainable).

Alternative options: Purchase land in multiple rural locations around the United States. Ennis, Montana or Island Park ID; South Dakota; Alpine, AZ; or [[the great north woods]] then construct a small cabin or shack on each with limited services. Migrate between them.

In [[Dreams of Home]] one alternative option is to begin dirt bagging it around the west full time. This would entail taking off for 13 [[pythefnos]] starting 22W. I would pack the contents of the cabin into storage and mothball the structure for the winter. Then taking to the road spend each pythefnos at a different camp (exception 22Z, Christmas spent in South Dakota). Moving between pythefnos, and every other one grabbing a hotel for a couple of nights.
