Tofu Donburi
Tofu with sushi rice or with fried yakisoba.
- 14 oz Extra Firm Tofu, cubed
- 1/4 cup potato or corn starch
- 2 Tbsnp vegetable oil
- 2 cups diced vegetables (cabbage, carrots, onions, leeks, etc.)
- 2 Tbsnp rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup [[Teriyaki Marinade]] OR 1/4 cup Hoisin sauce
- Seseme seeds
- Japanese mayonaise
- 1 serving sushi rice or yakisoba noodles
- Press tofu for four hours, ideally overnight then cube
- Roll tofu in starch
- Heat oil in a wok and place tofu cubes in pan; fry for two minutes, then turn. Set tofu aside
- Stir-fry vegetables in wok; right before done toss rice vinegar over vegetables and let evaporate.
- Add tofu back to the wok and drizzle teriyaki marinade over the wok. Toss.
- Serve over rice or with fried yakisoba noodles; drizzle with seseme seeds and mayo
